“What’s a Hong?” It’s a sea cave. On this unique Phang Nga Bay tour you’ll slowly glide into some hongs by canoe in the afternoon. Later, you’ll watch a sunset… and then the magic happens. You’ll hear the paddles dipping into the sea – glistening from a carpet of starlight above. Fireflies may add to the intrigue as you slip into one of the hongs in the dark. Once there, Hong by Starlight re-creates the annual ceremony of Loi Kratong on every tour. You make your own floating candle to place in the water…. creating a sirenic illumination in the now-glistening cave where you will see bioluminescent plankton.
