What the Scoopy is like to ride in Phuket

The Scoopy has the lowest seat (744 mm) and the lowest weight (99 kg) in the whole fleet, which is why it is our default recommendation for nervous first-time riders. It is a budget-tier bike: an 8 hp engine, a small 4.0 L tank built for short, efficient local trips, and no ABS. Retro styling is a big part of its appeal.

Expect it to be at its best on short hops between beaches, cafés and markets, and easy to park in busy areas. On the long hill roads it climbs, but slowly — if you will be riding two-up over hills, look at a 160 cc bike instead.

No. The Scoopy and Click 125 are our two budget-tier bikes and neither has ABS. If you want ABS, look at the NMAX 155 or PCX 160 (both have it front and rear).

How much can I carry on a Scoopy?
Under-seat storage is minimal; the flat floorboard helps with a small bag. For luggage, the PCX 160 (about 30 L) is a better fit.
