If you are looking for a Chang Thai motorbike, Kalim Beach, located close to Kamala Beach and on the way to Patong Beach, has this option. Even at Patong Beach, swimming is impossible since Kalim has a rocky bottom with dead corals. But during the off-season, some of the local surfers use the spots for training. The waves aren't that strong, but it's a good area for surfers to enjoy some practice.

Kalim Beach is not the best place to swim, but if it's high tide, there is room for some rocks, and it's fun to snorkel there. It is the second best surfing venue on the island, and competitions are frequently organized in the low season. If you want something a little different, head slightly up the hill for Rollerball and zorbing for a little extra fun for your day at Kalim Beach.
